GUWAHATI: In a first COVID-19 positive case for Assam, a 52-year-old man from Karimganj tested positive for coronavirus.
He is currently undergoing treatment at Silchar Medical College and his condition is said to be stable.
As per reports, his second COVID-19 test conducted at NIV Pune also turned out to be positive.
State health and family welfare minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shared on twitter: “A 52-year-old person has been found positive for #Coronavirua and is Assam's first #Covid19 patient. He is undergoing treatment at Silchar Medical College. His condition is stable.”
