GUWAHATI: The Assam government reopened the Teacher’s Transfer Portal, allowing teachers to apply for inter-district transfers. The development was shared by State Education Minister Ranoj Pegu on Monday, March 17.

“Formally reopened the Teacher’s Transfer Portal at @Samagra_Assam today and addressed the press regarding the process,” Pegu posted on X. “Teachers seeking transfer are advised to update their profile and apply as per the prescribed guidelines.”
The move has been initiated to streamline the transfer process and enhance awareness among educators, as it will open for applications starting Tuesday, March 18, and will remain open till April 30, which has been set as the deadline.
As per the guidelines, priority will be given to teachers with over 10 years of service, while differently-abled teachers can apply for priority consideration after two years. Eligible teachers seeking transfers have been advised to update their profiles and submit applications through hrmassam.in following the prescribed guidelines.
It has been mentioned that the Education Department will complete all transfers during the summer vacation.
