Assam Ranked among Worst Performers in Controlling Corruption

GUWAHATI: Kerela, Assam and West Bengal have been rated the worst three states in Controlling Corruption. 


As per the 'Annual Public Affairs Index’ by pai.pacindia.org, Assam has been ranked 17th with only Kerela ahead of it in the 18th rank among the bigger states. 


Haryana, Tamil Nadu and Chhattisgarh have been ranked the top three states in the ranking. 


Among the smaller states, Mizoram has been placed at the highest rank while Manipur is among the lowest-ranked states in controlling corruption. 


In terms of government effectiveness of growth, Assam has been ranked worst among the larger states.
