Assam Prepares For Direct Recruitment Exam; CM Stresses Integrity Of Process

 

The exams are scheduled for September 15 and 29 for Grade III posts, and October 27 for Grade IV posts. 

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma held a meeting on Sunday, September 8 with all District Commissioners (DCs) and Superintendents of Police (SPs) to review the preparations for the upcoming Assam Direct Recruitment Exam (ADRE), which is set to begin on September 15.

During the meeting, Sarma emphasised the government's zero-tolerance policy toward any unfair practices during the examination. He directed the DCs to implement measures to facilitate a seamless examination process, including inspecting examination centers and ensuring that essential amenities are provided.

Additionally, SPs were instructed to enforce strict law and order around each examination center, monitor social media, and prevent any attempts by miscreants to compromise the integrity of the examination.



Taking to the social media platform X, the chief minister stated, “The much-awaited ADRE exams begin next Sunday. Ahead of the exams, I chaired a meeting with senior police officers, DCs and other team members to oversee the preparations. We have zero-tolerance policy towards unfair practices and this will be implemented effectively.”

The ADRE exams for 2024 are scheduled to take place on September 15 and 29 for Grade III posts, and on October 27 for Grade IV posts. The admit card download link has been active since September 2.
