Assam Police Signs MoU With Microsoft For Cyber And Digital Security

 

GUWAHATI: In a significant step towards bolstering cyber and digital security in the state, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today between the Assam Police, global technology giant Microsoft, and India Future Foundation.

The event took place at the Assam Police Convention Center in Bongaigaon, and the signing ceremony was attended by the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma.

The MoU marks a collaborative effort between the Assam Police and two esteemed organizations - Microsoft and India Future Foundation - to enhance the cybersecurity infrastructure and digital safeguards within the state.

This partnership aims to strengthen the state's ability to combat cyber threats, safeguard sensitive data, and create a more secure digital environment for citizens, businesses, and government entities.

The inaugural day of the two-day conference of Superintendents of Police (SP) in Bongaigaon commenced today and with it, many new decisions were taken.

The conference was hosted at the newly inaugurated Assam Police convention centre in Bongaigaon.

The conference's proceedings witnessed active participation from Superintendents of Police from various districts, fostering collaboration, and sharing best practices to improve law enforcement and security across the state.
