GUWAHATI: Cachar police seized up to one lakh fifty thousand Yaba tablets from Silchar in a massive drug bust on Thursday.
The market price of the tablets, according to sources, has been estimated to be ₹15 crore. The tablets were discovered in a high-end vehicle.
The cops seized the massive shipment from a supplier named Lalswamalina and also apprehended him, as per media reports.
Assam CM took to Twitter to address the arrest and wrote, “@cacharpolice intercepted a vehicle in Silchar and seized 15 packets containing 1,50, 000 Yaba tablets. Also apprehended one accused. Excellent work @assampolice. Much appreciated!”
