Assam Police Locates Stolen Truck Carrying Goods Worth Rs 19 Lakhs

GUWAHATI: Assam Police has located a stolen truck bound for Silchar standing abandoned at 9th Mile, Khanapara. On 12th January last, complainant Hem Ch. Borah lodged an FIR at Bharalumukh Police Station (PS) stating that his truck (AS 01 LC 7862) loaded with varieties of goods worth Rs 19 Lakhs was stolen.


As such, a case was registered at Bharalumukh PS. The truck was later found abandoned at 9th Mile, Khanapara.

One arrest has been made of Faizul Hoque (35 yrs) S/o Mojibur Ali Aag Ghumi from Chaygaon, Kamrup Rural. Almost 90% of the loot has been recovered. The stolen articles were recovered from Gumi/Chaygaon areas

4. Shikhar: 24 cartons 

5. Soap: 126 cartons

6. Agarbatti: 10 cartons 

7. Bedsheets: 1 bundle

8. Rubber: 4 bundles

9. Zarda: 7 cartons 

10. Polybags: 90 nos

11. Plastic Jali: 9 bundles 

12. Atta: 79 bags

13. Steel pipes: 5 bundles 

14. PVC: 4 bundles 

15. Aluminium Sheet: 98 pcs/800 Kgs.
