GUWAHATI: The Assam Government has announced a series of transfers and postings within the Police Department. These measures are set to bring about key changes in various police units across the state.
Amar Choudhury, APS and the current Commandant of the 25th AP (ONGC) Battalion stationed in Ligiripukhuri, Sivasagar, is slated for a transfer. He is reassigned as the Commandant of the 3rd AFPF Battalion situated in Tarioni, Lakhimpur. This transfer comes into effect upon assuming charge and is in place of Debojit Deori, APS, who is relieved of his additional responsibilities.
Olindita Gogoi, APS, currently serving as the Additional Superintendent of Police (S and I) in Nalbari, is undergoing a significant change in her role. She is authorised to hold the post of Superintendent of Police in Assam, stationed in Srimantapur, Guwahati. This transfer takes effect upon assuming charge and fills an existing vacancy.
Debaiit Nath, APS, the Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) in Dibrugarh, is set for a shift in responsibilities. He is allowed to take on the charge post of Commandant for the 25th AP (ONGC) Battalion located in Ligiripukhuri, Sivasagar. This transfer aligns with the departure of Choudhury from the same position.
Dinesh Kumar, IPS, currently the SDPO of Lakhipur in Cachar, is in line for a new role. He is reassigned as the Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) in Nalbari, filling an existing vacancy. This transfer comes into effect upon assuming charge.
Nahid Karishma, APS, who is presently attached to Assam Police Headquarters, is designated to serve as the Additional Superintendent of Police (Border) in Sivasagar. This transfer takes effect upon assuming charge and aims to address an existing vacancy.
In a partial modification of a prior notification, Bhanita Nath, APS, the Assistant Commissioner of Police (Women Unit) in Police Commissionerate, Guwahati, is repositioned. She will assume the role of Additional Superintendent of Police, BI (E0-1), in Assam, stationed in Srimantapur, Guwahati.
