GUWAHATI: Eight players from Assam will participate in the 28-member Indian dragon boat racing squad in the 13th Asian Dragon Boat Championships at Foshan, China from November 15 to 18.
The Assam players are (Men) Mainudding Ahmed, Rupen Rabha, Md Mushahab Ali; (Women) Bijuli Kalita, Beauti Kalita, Hiramani Kalita, Dipandita Kalita and Ameiya Kalita.

Taher Ahmed and Anup Kr Choudhury, President and Secretary of the Assam Traditional Sports and Dragon Boat Association respectively will accompany the Indian team as officials, stated a release.
