GUWAHATI: In a drive against the production and sale of illicit liquor, Nalbari Police conducted a successful operation in the Kumarikata area, falling under the jurisdiction of Mukalmua Police Station. During the operation, law enforcement officials seized a staggering total of 649 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and apprehended an individual in possession of the contraband. Additionally, a vehicle believed to be linked to the illegal liquor trade, was also confiscated.
Furthermore, on the same day, Nalbari Police carried out a raid targeting establishments along National Highway Dhabas on National Highway 27. During this operation, a total of 85 bottles of IMFL and 20 cans of beer were seized from various locations.
The crackdown on illicit liquor is aimed at not only curbing the illegal trade but also ensuring the safety and well-being of the community. The individuals involved in these unlawful activities will face legal consequences as further investigations are underway.
