GUWAHATI: The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Assam (DVAC) apprehended a person on the charges of bribery in Silchar on Wednesday, June 12.

DVAC trapped the individual named Saumyabrata Bhattacharjee, Sr. District Administrative Assistant in the Office of the District Commissioner, Cachar, Silchar, red-handed after he allegedly accepted bribe from the complainant in office for a land related matter.
Bhattacharjee was then apprehended and further legal proceedings have been initiated against him.
