GUWAHATI: Three major anti-narcotics operations resulted in the seizure of over 3.4 kilograms of heroin worth nearly ₹18 crores in Assam. These operations were conducted across Cachar and Karbi Anglong.

In an operation at the Digharkhal Toll Gate, Cachar Police seized 1.881 kilograms of heroin. The contraband is valued at approximately ₹9.5 crore. Three individuals have been apprehended in connection with this haul.
In another operation within the same district, Cachar Police recovered 561 grams of heroin. This batch has an estimated market value of ₹3 crore, and two suspects have been taken into custody.

Additionally, Karbi Anglong Police intercepted a suspicious vehicle at Borpathar, leading to the discovery of 1.005 kilograms of heroin worth over ₹5 crore. One person was arrested on the spot.
