Assam MP Pradyut Bordoloi's Convoy Attacked During Panchayat Election Campaign

GUWAHATI: In a shocking incident, Assam Congress's Lok Sabha MP Pradyut Bordoloi's convoy was attacked by unidentified miscreants on Sunday, April 27, while they were returning from a panchayat election campaign in Dhing, Nagaon. MLA Shibamoni Boro was also part of the convoy.

According to reports, around 5 vehicles in the convoy were targeted by the attackers, who wore black cloth masks to conceal their identities.

Nagaon SP Swapnaneel Deka confirmed the incident, stating that an investigation has been launched despite no formal FIR being filed yet. "As soon as we received the information, we started the investigation," Deka told GPlus.

The incident has raised concerns about the safety and security of political leaders during the ongoing panchayat elections. The investigation is currently underway, with authorities working to identify the perpetrators and determine the motive behind the attack.
