Assam: MP Gaurav Gogoi appointed as Whip of Congress in Parliament

GUWAHATI: Assam’s Kaliabor Lok Sabha Constituency Congress MP, Gaurav Gogoi has been appointed as a whip of Congress on July 10.

Along with Gogoi, Manickam Tagore has also been appointed as a whip the party in parliament.

Both Gogoi and Tagore have been appointed to help the chief whip of the Congress party in the parliament Kodikunnil Suresh in the floor management and other works relating to meetings.

Taking the Twitter handle, Gogoi said, "Thank you CPP Chairperson Madam Sonia Gandhiji for appointing me as Parliament Whip for @INCIndia. I will fulfil my responsibilities to my best."
