Assam: MoU For Capacity Building And Digital Transformation Of Govt Officials Approved

GUWAHATI: Assam has taken a significant step towards enhancing the digital capabilities of its officials by approving a one-year, no-cost Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Wadhwani Centre for Government Digital Transformation (WGDT), Bengaluru. The decision was made during the state cabinet meeting held on August 21.

This MoU aims to foster a collaborative partnership between the WGDT and the Government of Assam, focusing on the digital transformation of government processes and services. By leveraging emerging technologies, the initiative seeks to modernise and streamline the functioning of various government departments, ensuring more efficient and effective service delivery to the public.

One of the key components of this collaboration is the capacity building of mid to senior-level government officials. The MoU will provide these officials with training and support on emerging technologies, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to drive digital transformation within their respective departments.

Additionally, the partnership will support the digital transformation of government initiatives and projects, with a particular emphasis on incorporating emerging technologies.
