The new MoU replaces the previous agreement, which expired on February 2, 2023. Additionally, the separate entity of ACCF was formed after the initial MoU was signed, necessitating a fresh agreement.

Under this MoU, a total of 17 hospitals will be included, with 9 already operational and 8 in various stages of development in Diphu, Dhubri, Tinsukia, Sivasagar, Nagaon, Golaghat, Nalbari, and Goalpara.

The entire project has a projected cost of ₹3,983 crore, with the Government of Assam contributing ₹2,803 crore and TEDT providing the remaining ₹1,180 crore. This collaboration aims to ensure that patients continue to receive cancer treatment at affordable prices in these centers.
