GUWAHATI: In a tragic incident, a man identified as Mahidul Islam was allegedly stabbed to death near the Baosi Banikanta Kakati College in Barpeta district, Assam on August 19.
According to reports, the girl friend of the deceased attacked him with a knife and was declared bought dead at the Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital.

Locals’ states that both Mahidul and the girl were in a relationship for a while, however, the deceased tied the knot with another girl couple of days back.
Reportedly the girl accompanied by her friend asked Mohidul to visit her near the college where she allegedly stabbed him.
In the meanwhile, Barpeta police have registered a case based on the victim's family and currently investigation is in progress.
