GUWAHATI: Barbaruah Police on August 19 arrested one Bishal Karmakar in connection to the death of a 21-year-old girl in Barbaruah Tea Estate, Dibrugarh district of Assam.
The accused is a resident of the Barbaruah Tea Estate has confessed that he was having a relationship with the deseased.

According to reports, the deceased went to work at around 6:00 AM in the morning at BCPL township but did not reach the workplace. Later the body of the deceased was discovered by tea labourers near a drain.
Earlier on August 17, the family members of the deceased have lodged an FIR at Barbaruah Police Station alleging that the victim was raped and then murdered.
