GUWAHATI: In an exhilarating showdown at Nehru Stadium, Ulubari, the Nripendra Narayan Singha Memorial Inter District Football Tournament reached its pinnacle with a nail-biting final match. The atmosphere was charged as Luhit Dikrang High Secondary School from Lakhimpur clashed with Aarohan Academy Senior Secondary School from Jorhat in which eventually the former triumphed.

The game was a thrilling spectacle, with both teams displaying remarkable skill and determination.

Ultimately, it was Lakhimpur's Luhit Dikrang High Secondary School that emerged triumphant with a score of 1-0, claiming the coveted championship title.

Their hard-fought journey to the finals saw them overpower Tinsukia and Morigaon in the semi-finals, solidifying their place in the championship clash.

The decisive goal that tipped the scales in favour of Lakhimpur was masterfully executed by Ruyam Doley, whose prowess on the field proved to be a game-changer.

This goal not only secured the victory for Lakhimpur but also etched Ruyam Doley's name into the tournament's history.

Individual brilliance was celebrated as well, with Sewali Pegu of Lakhimpur earning the title of "Emerging Player of the Match."
