GUWAHATI: In a recent anti-corruption operation, officials from the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Assam, apprehended Choukat Ali, a Junior Assistant working at the Office of the Circle Officer in Sarupeta Revenue Circle.
Ali was caught red-handed on Friday while accepting a bribe for expediting the processing of land sale permission. This operation unfolded in the Bajali district.
Taking to Twitter, the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption stated, “Today @DIR_VAC_ASSAM trapped red handed Choukat Ali, Junior Assistant, in the O/O Circle Officer Sarupeta Revenue Circle, Dist: Bajali, after he accepted bribe for processing of land sale permission. @CMOfficeAssam @assampolice @surendrakr_ips”
