GUWAHATI: The police recovered a 7.65mm pistol along with a cache of ammunition, in Chirang on October 30.
The seizure included 12 rounds of 7.65mm ammunition and 8 rounds of 7.62×39mm ammunition. This operation also led to the apprehension of one individual connected to the illegal possession of these firearms and ammunition. Legal action has been initiated.

Assam Police took to X to put out, “Catch of the day as @chirangpolice recovered One 7.65 mm pistol along with 12 rounds ammunition of 7.65mm and 8 rounds of 7.62×39 mm ammunition. One person was arrested in this regard. Lawful action has been initiated.”
