GUWAHATI: Chief Secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna informed that the state has enough food stock for now.
"We have rice for 26 days, dal for 8 days, edible oil for 283 days and salt for 26 days with FCI alone. In the open market also enough is available for now," said Krishna.
Further 10,000 metric tons of pulses have been ordered from NAFED, out of which 50 percent has arrived and the rest will be delivered in the next 2 to 3 days, mentioned the chief secretary.
Regarding prices, he informed that the prices had only slightly fluctuated during the lockdown period.
He further added that inland water fishing has also been allowed from now on and local fish will be available for people.
Additionally, there be no shortage of milk and dairy products as dairy farms and gaushalas area being allowed to operate, said Krishna.
