GUWAHATI: To encourage new authors from different communities of Assam, the state government under the 'Bhasha Gaurav Achoni' has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs. 50,000.
Reportedly, Assam Government has decided to provide one-time financial assistance of Rs 50,000 each to 1,000 authors from the state of Assam.
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Twitter wrote, "Under the "ভাষা গৌৰৱ আঁচনি" (Bhasha Gaurav Achoni), we have decided to encourage 1,000 new authors from different communities of Assam by providing ₹ 50,000 as one-time financial assistance."

The Sahitya Sabhas will help us in selecting the authors.
It is to be mentioned that the Sahitya Sabhas will help the state governemt in selecting the authors.
Earlier, the BJP led state governement has decided to provide one-time financial assistance of Rs 50,000 each to 2,000 artists and technicians in order to promote Assam's rich folk traditions and Mobile Theatre industry.
