GUWAHATI: Transport Minister of Assam Chandra Mohan Patowary, in a statement, informed media persons that the Assam government has proposed 7 trains to bring back people of Assam stranded in different parts of the country.
The minister emphasised on the state's priority to bring home its students, patients and pilgrims who had travelled outside, in these special trains.
The trains will most likely be flagged off after May 7.

On May 4, the state government had issued Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for people stranded outside of Assam, willing to return to the state.
