GUWAHATI: The Sadou Assam Karmachari Parishad staged a statewide protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 on January 30.
It is to be mentioned that the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) in a meeting held on January 28 extended its support to the Sodou Assam Karmachari Parishad (SAKP) for the people’s movement against Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.

The association members staged a three-hour protest in front of Subdivision offices and Deputy Commissioner Offices throughout the state.
“Job is not greater than country, we request Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal to abandon this bill. After that we will fight with the centre,” said association members.
