GUWAHATI: The governor of Assam declared a local holiday on March 22 on account of Dol Jatra/ Holi in Kamrup (Metro) district.
All state government offices, educational institutions within undivided Kamrup (metro) district will remain closed on March 22 on account of the holiday.
Further, the order stated that offices of Assam Bhawans/houses outside of Assam and all financial institutions within undivided Kamrup (Metro) under section 25 of NI Act, 1881 (XXIV of 1881) read with the government of India, ministry of Home Affairs, will also remain closed on account of this holiday.
