GUWAHATI: The Assam Fisheries Department on March 2 suspended officials who neglected their duty by being involved in various malpractices.
The officials are Biswajit Kashyap, Rajen Das, Debeswar Sonowal, Pratul Das, Monuwar Hussain and Abdul Barik.
The Directorate of Fisheries has placed them under suspension following reports from entrusted enquiry officers. The accused field level officials have been suspended under Rule 6 (1) of the Assam Service (Discipline and Appeal) Rules 1964 with immediate effect for their negligence of government duty and involvement in malpractices in the distribution of inputs of beneficiaries under various schemes.
