GUWAHATI: The Kamrup Metropolitan district administration has declared 26th September as 'Dry Day' in observance of "Janmotsava of Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardeva."
As such, possession or sale or distribution of spirituous, fermented or intoxicating liquors or other substances of alike nature is completely prohibited.
During the aforesaid "DRY DAY", all wholesale Warehouse, IMFL Retail -OFF" and "ON" shops including Club "ON" Hotel "ON" and Country Spirit Shops will remain closed in Kamrup Metropolitan District. Any violation of the above will attract penal action as per law.
