Assam government amends rules and regulations for APSC exams

GUWAHATI: The government of Assam has finally decided to amend the rules and regulations of examinations conducted by Assam Public Service Commission (APSC).
 
The government on May 9 submitted an affidavit to Gauhati High Court in this regard.
In the affidavit, Assam government has assured that it would conduct the APSC exams as per new rules and regulations, which are yet to be made public.

In 2010, when Rakesh Paul was the chairman of APSC, the Commission changed the rules and regulations of conducting examinations. After the change, rampant corruption occurred in APSC, including the infamous ‘cash-for-job’ scam.
