GUWAHATI: The Assam floods took a turn for the better amid the scorching heat as only one district remains affected by the natural calamity.
111 people continue to remain affected in three villages in the Sipajhar revenue circle of Darrang district by the ensuing floods. The list includes 53 men, 45 women and 13 children.

As far as infrastructure damage is concerned, Nayagaon Sivmandir Road in Srijangram, Bongaigaon and two culverts in Bongaigaon and Morongi, Golaghat respectively have been reported to be damaged according to the latest flood report by the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA).
Moreover, erosion has been observed in Kalgachia (Barpeta), Dhubri, Dibrugarh East, Sarupathar (Golaghat) and Doomdooma (Tinsukia).
