GUWAHATI: As Assam continues to struggle with floods, the road connecting Kampur and Kathiatoli in the Nagaon district of the State breaks down. The incident came to light on Thursday, May 19.
“It has become so difficult for the people to pass through this road as it is dangerous and the water levels are also quite deep. Immediate actions need to be initiated by the concerned authorities before any mishap happens due to this road condition,” a local resident said.
The State of Assam continues to battle flash floods, affecting over seven lakh people across various districts after repeated showers in the past few days.
Further, several districts of the State witnessed massive landslides that occurred due to the continuous heavy downpour. The railroad and other means of transportation have also been disrupted due to this natural calamity.
