GUWAHATI: Continuous rain over the last four days has wreaked havoc in Haflong and surrounding areas in Assam, leading to severe damage and widespread unsettling. Numerous shops and houses were washed away in and around Haflong town due to incessant downpours and flooding.
Heavy rainfall caused significant disruptions on National Highway between Silchar and Maibang, resulting in a blockade lasting over six hours due to water logging and landslides. The road has been partially cleared, allowing for limited traffic flow.
