GUWAHATI: Barenya Ranjan Barthakur, ALRS, who serves as a Circle Officer (A) and Executive Magistrate in Balijana, Goalpara has donated his salary to provide relief to flood affected people near Pancharatna, Goalpara.
“I think we must help people without any prejudice, thus, I would like to donate my salary to help the flood victims,” said Barthakur.
It should be noted that 48.87 lakh people from 27 of the 33 districts have been affected and the death toll in the state has risen to 47.
