GUWAHATI: Renowned composer Shankar Mahadevan shared a video of an Assamese flautist Dilip Heera, whom he saw playing the flute outside a restaurant while having breakfast.
Taking to his social media page, Mahadevan shared a video with him and captioned “Talent undiscovered!! Everyone pls bless Dilip heera from Assam!! What an amazing player!!”
In the video, a bemused Mahadevan was seen joining Dilip in a jugalbandi. While Dilip played the flute, Mahadevan accompanied him with his ‘alap’ and ‘humming’ of India classical sargams.
It is to be mentioned that the video has been widely shared on the internet and has garnered applause for the young talent from Assam.
It is to be mentioned that Shankar Mahadevan is here in Guwahati to perform in the opening ceremony of 3rd Edition of Khelo India to be held today, January 10.
