Assam: Fire Engulfs Seven Houses In Goalpara

GUWAHATI: A massive fire ravaged a neighborhood in Assam's Goalpara district, leaving seven houses reduced to ashes on October 24.

According to media reports, the blaze that erupted in the area was triggered by a short circuit within one of the houses may have triggered the inferno.

The majority of the houses in the area were constructed using bamboo, which facilitated the rapid spread of the fire to neighboring residences, as per reports.

The incident transpired in the Mamudpur locality within the Dalgoma area of the district.

Reports indicate that at least seven houses in the vicinity were entirely consumed by the flames, resulting in property losses estimated to be in lakhs.

Additionally, it has been reported that there were no reports of injuries or casualties arising from the incident. Further details are awaited.
