GUWAHATI: In a faux pas for the Assam Government, a dead doctor has been found to be promoted in the recent promotions of doctors from the medical colleges of the state.
Dr. Dhrubajyoti Das who was a registrar in the Anesthesia department of Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital (FAAMC), Barpeta also was popularly known as the Barpeta Medical College died two years ago in October 2016.

Interestingly Dr. Das’s name has made it to the latest list of promotions where he has been “promoted as an assistant professor”. The list also has a few doctors who had resigned and moved to other practices.
The name of the dead doctor clearly shows that there are many gaps in coordination among medical colleges and the health department of the state.
