GUWAHATI: A Congress delegation led by Leader of Opposition (LoP) Debabrata Saikia and former Member of Parliament (MP) Sushmita Dev sparred with the officials of Mizoram.

In a video shared by Saikia, a Mizoram official is seen asking the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) delegation to leave the disputed Assam-Mizoram border. The Congress leader claimed he was threatened by the Mizoram official. He said, "While we interacted with media one Mizo official came and threatened us, asking us to leave that place."
Saikia further alleged that Assam's land has lessened under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government.
"It's very unfortunate that on Indian soil, one state's official tried to block a delegation that represents the Legislative Assembly of another state. During this government's tenure, after race, the land of Assam is also on the way of slipping out of our hands!" the LoP posted on Twitter.
