GUWAHATI: Confusion spread across social media after several reports claimed that Assam’s HSLC (Class 10) examination results would be declared on April 10. Adding to the misinformation, a fake screenshot of a tweet—allegedly from Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s profile—also went viral, fueling the buzz.

However, putting all speculation to rest, Sarma clarified on April 9 that the HSLC results would not be announced on April 10.
“I would like to inform all parents and students that the HSLC examination results will not be released tomorrow. Once the results are ready, the board will announce them promptly. Please remain patient,” the chief minister tweeted.
