Assam Cabinet Clears Major Infrastructure Plan For Rural Roads And Schools

 

GUWAHATI: The Assam Cabinet approved a major infrastructure development plan to strengthen rural connectivity and expand educational facilities across the state during its meeting on Tuesday, October 8.

The approved projects include the improvement of 108 rural roads and the construction of 126 secondary schools, aimed at accelerating growth and empowering citizens.

The project is set to improve road connectivity in 26 districts and develop secondary schools across 35 districts in Assam. These initiatives will be executed at a total cost of ₹1,417.29 crore, funded under NABARD’s RIDF-XXX scheme.

This development plan is aimed at accelerating Assam's growth and empowering its citizens by providing better mobility and expanding access to education in rural areas.
