GUWAHATI: Monoj Leen Debnath from Assam will represent Assam in the 40th World Arm Wrestling Championship which will be held in Antalya, Turkey from 13th to 22nd October 2018.
Monoj is currently ranked at 4th in the Asian rankings and holds the 6th position at the world ranking in arm wrestling championships.
Earlier, Monoj had bagged gold at the National Arm Wrestling Championship which was held in New Delhi on May 2017. He also bagged the 6th position in the 55 kg Senior Men's category at the 38th edition of the World Arm Wrestling Championships 2016 held in Bulgaria.
