GUWAHATI: In an unfortunate incident, burglars broke into international boxing champion Bhagyabati Kachari’s Guwahati residence and looted all her prized medals on Friday, September 20.
According to reports, while Kachari was away in New Delhi, miscreants broke into her Railway Staff Quarter in Maligaon and took all her medals and other valuable items.
Speaking to the media, Kachari said that she was utterly upset and angry at the fact that all her hard-earned prized medals are gone and that someone freely moved around the house and destroyed everything.

Meanwhile, police have intervened in the matter and are currently investigating the case.
