GUWAHATI: Assam BJP Spokesperson Mehdi Alom Bora has resigned from the primary membership of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on 8 January.
“I have decided to resign from the party because the people and my community are important than the party,” said Bora.
However, the major reason behind his resignation is because of the prevailing situation including the issue of Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2016 which has been passed in Lok Sabha.
