GUWAHATI: While standalone shops and restaurants (take away only) have been granted permission to operate starting from May 4, many activities continue to remain suspended.
These include bars, shopping malls, shopping complexes, swimming pools, hotels and lodges, religious places, marriage halls and all kinds of large gatherings. Shops on footpaths have also been prohibited.
No guideline has yet been issued regarding the opening of educational institutions.
While water transport has not been permitted, a decision with regard to water transport connecting Majuli and Jorhat will soon be taken by the state government.
