GUWAHATI: A city bus running under the Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) was stone pelted by some miscreants in Lakhipathar, 17 KMs from Jonai on Wednesday night.
Stones were pelted by some miscreants at the bus no AS-20-1731. The rear windshield was damaged in the incident.
G Plus spoke to Anand Prakash Tiwari, MD Assam State Transport Corporation, who confirmed the incident.
"The stone pelting happened yesterday near Jonai. The glass was damaged and the police are doing an investigation," revealed Tiwari on Thursday, October 8.
The incident comes amid the indefinite bus strike that has hindered the movement of citizens who commute in city buses.
