GUWAHATI: The Assam JEE topper, Neel Nakshatra Das who was arrested for using a proxy to write the exam has confessed that he was forced to appear for the exam by his parents.
A highly placed source told G Plus that during interrogation Das also revealed that he would have waited another year to give the exams.
As per reports, Das wanted to pursue arts stream. However, he was forced to take up science in Higher Secondary.

Earlier, JEE topper Neel Nakshatra Das, his father Dr Jyotirmoy Das, and three other persons were arrested for allegedly using a proxy to write the exam. The arrest was made after an FIR was filed in Azara Police Station against the student who secured 99.8% in JEE Exams even though he did not appear for the exam.
