GUWAHATI: Assamese actress Chetana Das' husband Bimal Das succumbed to COVID-19 on Thursday, September 3. He was undergoing treatment at GNRC Hospital along with his wife who had also tested positive for the dreaded virus.
Although he was in good health at first, Bimal Das was shifted to the ICU as soon as his body oxygen level dropped to 52. But on Thursday, coronavirus took his life.

Bimal Das was a former Officer in the Department of Geological Survey.
