GUWAHATI: In an unfortunate incident near Jokai Reserved Forest of Borboruah in Assam’s Dibrugarh district, three women from the same family were killed when their car collided with a speeding truck loaded with paver blocks on the newly constructed National Highway- 52 on June 7.

The deceased have been identified as Sumeswari Sonowal (75), Nirada Sonowal (60) and Mamoni Sonowal (50). They were residents of Horokpathar of Jokai.
The three others who sustained severe injuries in the accident, identified as Ajay Sonowal, Suraj Sonowal and Pragyan Sonowal have been rushed to Assam Medical College and Hospital in Dibrugarh for medical attention.
