GUWAHATI: On the occasion of the 73rd Independence Day of India on August 15, six railway stations in the state were connected to avail free WiFi services.
These railway stations include Gohpur, Harmoti, Helem, Nizborgaon, Taibahor and Dubia.

It should be noted that on the same day, 71 railway stations across India were also connected to provide free WiFi services to passengers.
Now, passengers can avail free WiFi services at 2820 railway stations across the country.
It should be mentioned that as of May this year, more than two crore people were found to be using free WiFi facilities available at different railway stations based on a survey.
