GUWAHATI: A 28 year old person from Cachar district who had arrived from Chennai yesterday has tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease.
The said patient is currently under treatment at Silchar Medical College and Hospital.
With this case the total number of COVID positive cases in Assam rises to 97, with 52 active cases. So far, 2 people have succumbed to the virus in the state and 41 people have been cured of the disease.
