Arunachal Pradesh minister’s son faces life imprisonment in murder case

GUWAHATI: Kajum Bagra, son of Arunachal Pradesh Industries minister Tumke Tagra, has been convicted for murder and sentenced to life imprisonment by a district court.

As per police, on the night of March 26, 2017, Kajum Bagra had shot dead the victim Kenjum Kamsi outside a hotel in Aalo, Arunachal Pradesh, after an argument over payment of a contract.

The incident was captured by a CCTV camera installed outside the hotel.

Kajum Bagra was charged under Section 27(1) of Arms Act and Section 302 of IPC.

The court has directed Kajum Bagra to undergo rigorous imprisonment for life and a payment of fine of Rs 5,000.

During the time of the murder, Tumke Tagra was the deputy speaker of Arunachal Pradesh legislative assembly.
